  Cheap and effective 20

  Worked fine for my 175 lb draw crossbow, but proved just as easy to lose in the grass as 16" bolts. Fortunately I was able to recover the lost bolt by feeling for it with my bare feet. This length looks like the right thing to use with broadheads, but that is overkill for the type of game I'm likely to hunt (rabbits, possums etc).

  Learning the basics

  I haven't had my crossbow for very long so I thought it best to use bolts made for my crossbow. For me this is like acquiring the basic skills and experiences needed to make formative decisions concerning the purhase of equipment in the future.
