Thank you for visiting the Wild Outdoorsman website. When you visit or purchase goods or services through our website, these Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy (“Terms”) apply. The expressions “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the Wild Outdoorsman Group of Companies.

While we endeavour to keep our website up to date and error-free, mistakes can occur. We do not accept responsibility for any loss suffered as a result of reliance on the accuracy, adequacy, completeness or currency of information on this website. If you have acted in reliance on a mistake on this website, we are not obliged to honor the mistake, and will contact you prior to processing your order.

We do not warrant that access to this website will be uninterrupted or error-free. We will not be responsible or liable to you for any loss of content or material uploaded or transmitted through our website.

You acknowledge that use of this website, and any services provided through it, are subject to these Terms and all applicable laws. By accessing and interacting with this website you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, you must refrain from accessing and browsing this website or using any of the services.


We try to ensure that information provided through this website is accurate and current. However we cannot, and do not, represent or warrant the accuracy, adequacy, completeness of information on this website or that it is up to date. For example (but without limitation):

Prices and colours of products may change, and all products are subject to availability;
Variations to products may occur from time to time for various reasons (including changes in seasonal range, or product specifications);
While we try to represent products (including colours) accurately, the representation on your screen may be different to the actual product;
We may withdraw any product from sale for any reason, however that product might still appear on our website for a period of time after that withdrawal;
Due to technical or human error, information may be recorded incorrectly or omitted.

If a product offered by us is not as described, your sole remedy is to return it in unused condition to us. We make no undertaking that a product shown on our website will be available for purchase online, at all stores or at a specific store.


Due to the sheer volume of items that we carry, errors do occur. We cannot be held responsible for typographical errors or price misprints contained within. We apologize for any increases or price discrepancies in advance. All products and prices are published in good faith.


All items you purchase are new (unless stated otherwise). Please inspect each item upon receipt. If you discover a problem - contact us immediately. you can email us at sales@wildoutdoorsman.co.nz or by calling us on 03 755 8947 

Do not attempt to use or fix the goods. Save all paperwork and packaging, we will advise you how to proceed.


We accept payment by credit card (Mastercard or Visa), Zip Payments and Internet Banking. We do not record your credit card details. Credit card payments are made using the E-Way secure payment system – a third party company authorized to process credit card payments and to confirm the card is not stolen, fraudulent or lost and that the requested funds are available. Payments through Zip are subject to their Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. All internet banking sales must be paid within 4 working days. If payment has not been received within 4 working days you will receive an automated email to remind you of your order. You will then be given 48 hours to make payment or to email us to discuss payment. After 48 hours your order will be automatically deleted. Under New Zealand government regulations, there is a 15% Goods and Services Tax (GST). All products listed on this site in New Zealand dollars include GST. 


Prices published are for the stock advertised at the time of publication and are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax. We reserve the right to change prices for any item due to fluctuations from suppliers. We will endeavor to keep pricing up to date. Prices on this website are effective at the time of publication and are SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE. All prices listed on our website are in New Zealand Dollars.

The Wild Outdoorsman endeavours to carry sufficient stock at all times, although stock and pricing is subject to availability - if we do not have an item you have ordered in stock - we will advise you of this and you can choose from:

1.) An alternative product.
2.) We will advise a delivery date, if acceptable we will process your order when the item is available.
3.) Not process your order, and refund any monies paid.

Wild Outdoorsman online store may have online specials that may not be available in store.


All current discounts are reflected in the advertised Clearance price. While stocks last. Availability of styles, sizes and colours may vary by store and online. Clearance promotions are defined as discounts over and above the original Clearance price and are applied to the original Clearance price. All Clearance promotion discounts are reflected in the advertised Clearance price during the length of the promotional period. For all Clearance items online, the price may have been available for longer than the previous price. No returns on clearance items.

Wild Outdoorsman online store may have online specials that may not be available in store.


Wild Outdoorsman gift cards are only redeemable in store at our two branches - Hokitika and Greymouth. Gift cards are non-transferable, cannot be redeemed for cash, and cannot be credited to an account. No change will be given. Cards can be redeemed in full or for part of a payment. Unredeemed balances will remain on the card until used. Wild Outdoorsman cannot replace, redeem or refund lost, stolen or damaged gift cards. Gift cards can be used in conjunction with another form of payment. Gift Cards cannot be used for Fish and Game Licenses, Mountain Radios or New Zealand Courier Bookings.


Keeping your personal details secure and confidential is a key concern for us. Please refer to our Privacy Policy, available here. By using our website and/or providing information to us, you consent to the collection, storage, use and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.


We welcome your feedback on products you have purchased. If you review a product online please keep your review focused on the particular product, avoid writing about customer service (contact us instead here if you have issues requiring attention), refrain from using profanities and don’t include any information that would enable personal identification of you (such as your full name). Your review will be moderated in accordance with these guidelines, and posted on the product page on the website



The team at Wild Outdoorsman aim to have your order ready for dispatch within 1-2 working days, shipping 1-3 days & for rural delivery addresses please allow an extra 1-2 days for delivery. You will receive a Shipping Notification with your tracking number and a link to track your parcel when your order is dispatched.

If your parcel is overdue, please contact us via email sales@wildoutdoorsman.co.nz with your purchase details and we will track it down. Delivery over the Christmas period and statutory holidays may be delayed. Please also note orders are processed Mon - Fri (No deliveries Sat-Sun) Please note: We can only ship to New Zealand addresses at this time. 


This option is available for both Branches - Hokitika & Greymouth

Yes we do laybys! We require 20% deposit with a maximum of up-to 8 weeks payment. Deposits must be made within 4 business days. The layby merchandise will remain our property until the purchase price is paid in full. If laybys are not paid off within the designated time we have the right to cancel your layby and sell the goods.


Your purchased goods should get to you in a sale able condition with all the relevant packaging, manuals, and warranty information, along with a packing slip stating your purchased items.


All firearms & ammunition sales must be accompanied by police purchase form, forms can be filled out at your local police station. This form must then be sent to our store before purchase. Please click here for the Police Mail Order Form and more info.


If you receive your goods in a damaged condition, please contact us immediately to receive instructions on how this will be rectified. Please do not attempt to use or fix faulty goods. You can email us on sales@wildoutdoorsman.co.nz


Should you wish to cancel your order once you have confirmed it, you must contact us immediately. Depending on what stage of the packing and dispatch process your order is at, Wild Outdoorsman reserves the right to deduct a 10% handling and administration fee. If you have placed an order with us via internet banking we allow 4 working days for payment. We will email you before the date of expiry to confirm deletion of order or completion of order.


Any goods returned must be accompanied with a receipt of purchase and have the original and complete packaging and be in a re sale able condition. Please contact us sales@wildoutdoorsman.co.nz and we will advise you how to return them. 

Used goods cannot be returned for credit unless deemed faulty by us or our suppliers. Under the Fair Trading Act we are not required to accept returns on products because you have changed your mind or in our opinion the product you purchased was suitable for the purpose you stated. We reserve the right to issue an in store credit in lieu of a cash refund. Please see here for more info on Returns and Warranty.

All products purchased from Wild Outdoorsman are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Please check the warranty reference from manufacturers. 

Wild Outdoorsman will provide warranty service only in respect to products that were supplied by Wild Outdoorsman. No warranty is expressed or implied as to the quality or fitness of the products for any particular purpose or otherwise. Wild outdoorsman will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury to the purchaser or to any other person or to the property of the purchaser or any other person arising out of the use or possession of the Products. 

Note, that in all circumstances the Manufacturers warranty is void if: 

There is evidence of improper configuration. 
There is evidence of water damage. 
There is evidence of physical abuse, any item damaged in transit should be reported as soon as received. Please read Product Returns section here for further instructions. 
There is evidence of misuse including accidental or intentional abuse. 
There is evidence of previous repair by another repair center other than Wild Outdoorsman/our suppliers approved repairers. 
There is no record of purchase from Wild Outdoorsman however we will do our best to look for your sales information, but ultimately it is your responsibility to retain your sales receipt.

Warranty conditions are set to ensure reasonable wear on the product. Rough use and misuse of products are not covered under warranty (as above). Not following product care instructions is considered misuse of the product. Rough use is considered any direct, indirect consequential, incidental or any other type of damage resulting from the use of the product.
Warranty does not cover; fire, theft, intentional breakage, modification or customization, or damage during assembly. Lost parts are not covered under warranty for all products.

Some of our products must be assessed by the manufacturer direct, prior to warranty claims being fulfilled. All items MUST be cleaned and be free of mud/dirt before assessment.
With some brands, they must be sent overseas for assessment (i.e. Leupold, Bushnell, Cold Steel, FLIR etc). This cost must be covered by the product owner, prior to the warranty claim being placed. This charge wont exceed $45 in most cases.
Some manufacturers will repair the item where possible, without notifying Wild Outdoorsman prior. If the product is deemed to have been misued, leading to fault, then the cost of repair must be covered by the product owner. Please make sure you understand your product's warranty completely, prior to making any claims.


We may refer to, or provide links to third party websites on our site. In doing so we are not responsible for, nor do we endorse, any information that does not originate directly from us. We are also not responsible for information or goods or services at or accessible from those third party websites.


By visiting any website owned or operated by Wild Outdoorsman, you agree that the laws of New Zealand, without regard to principles of conflict of laws, will govern these Conditions of Use and any dispute of any sort that might arise between you and Wild Outdoorsman or its affiliates. New Zealand law governs and New Zealand courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
